What do I Want From our New President?

Now that we have a new president-elect, what do I want to see in the future? I have always cared about the environment, and I think that Obama's goal to reduce global warming in our country is a good goal. I would also like to know that he will be working to conserve the wildlife of our planet, because what has me worried right now is that his plan seems like it is mostly a way to creating new jobs. Even though these new jobs would be good for the economy, I don't want Obama to forget about our world.

That's what I want to see from our new president, but I know that none of it can happen without a community effort. Keeping this in mind, I also want to see community projects that focus on recycling and other eco-friendly practices. I know that we as a people can take responsibility for our world...We just need a little bit of motivation, and a reality check: Our planet is in trouble and it's our fault. Global warming, extinction, pollution. All these are man-made problems, and only we can fix them. I don't think we're out of time yet, but we will be soon, so we had better start now.
